What some of our patients are saying about us...

I know some people are not satisfied with their results from other physicians because they are not realistic. But my experience with your office was outstanding. The computer was a tremendous help in allowing me to understand what the possibilities were and your staff treated me with the utmost respect and concern.
The results were even better than I hoped for and if I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t hesitate. Once again “thank you” for you’re honestly and not trying to overdo it.

Sincerely, Thomas S.
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion after 1 treatment
Microdermabrasion after 1 treatment. See larger view.
What is Microdermabrasion? Microdermabrasion uses aluminum chloride (metal) particles. Macrodermabrasion uses sodium chloride (salt) particles. Either method is the mechanical process of gently and precisely removing the top layers of dead skin cells (stratum corneum).

How is Microdermabrasion performed? The treatment is performed in our office by a highly qualified staff member. The particle resurfacing machine has a hand piece that gently blows micro particles across the skin surface and simultaneously vacuums them up along with skin debris in a collection tank.

How does Microdermabrasion feel? Particle resurfacing in not uncomfortable at all. It feels like a relaxing buffing or polishing to the skin.

How long does Microdermabrasion treatment take? Usually between 30 to 45 minutes.

How often are the Microdermabrasion treatments performed? Treatments are usually performed every 1-2 weeks. Your schedule will be determined upon closer skin evaluation by the office.

How many Microdermabrasion treatments do I need? It depends on the condition of each individual’s skin which can be evaluated closer by the staff. Most people achieve optimum results in 5-9 treatments.

What do I look like after Microdermabrasion? Most people are usually pink for just a few hours. You are able to return to your normal activities right away.

When will I see results? After one treatment the skin will glow and feel smoother. Most people report seeing changes to the feel and texture of their skin after 3-4 treatments. Persistent, uneven skin color improves gradually with each treatment.

What is the Microdermabrasion after care? The staff can advise you of your specific skin care routine, but it is advised to use gentle skin care for 48 hours including no retinols.

What do I need to do before Microdermabrasion treatment? Discontinue the use of topical retinols, glycolic acids, exfoliants or other possible skin irritants for 2-3 days before your treatment. Also try to avoid over exposure to the sun.

What are the Microdermabrasion benefits? Particle resurfacing provides improvements to uneven or blotchy skin color, gives the skin a smoother texture and feel and can help to minimize the appearance of very fine wrinkles, blackheads, whiteheads and acne are also improved. Over time, this repeated process stimulated new skin cell growth, bringing with it an increased level of collagen and elastic.
